As part of its expansion for 2016, multisport coaching specialist Triathlon Training Spain will be relocating its training camp base to the Bonalba Hotel in Mutxamel, Alicante, Spain.

The 4 Star hotel is tucked away in the heart of a well-established golf course resort – although Triathlon Training Spain notes that golf may be the last thing on athletes’ minds when they visit the area!

Martin Hill, Triathlon Training Spain co-founder, a BTF L3 Coach and Certified Swim Smooth Coach, said, “To say we are excited is an understatement. Thanks to increasing demand for our personal and tailored coaching camps, we can’t wait to kick off our new partnership with the Bonalba Hotel.”

He added, “The hotel is close to Alicante airport (40 mins), so our clients, from across Europe and beyond, can be in their rooms and unpacked within an hour of arriving in Spain.

“We can now offer all the facilities expected from a 4 Star hotel. In-keeping with our current approach, all our camps at Bonalba will be fully inclusive of airport transfers, food, coaching and attention to detail. Plus, with iconic bike climbs on the doorstep, a large leisure open air pool at the hotel and accessible trails for running – this is the perfect location to plan your pre-season training camp.”

Coaching philosophy
Proving that word of mouth works, previous visitors to Triathlon Training Spain’s Casa de Triatlo have praised the camps’ coaching, hospitality, food and attention to detail. With each training camp limited to 6 attendees, the team retains a maximum coach to athlete ratio of 1:6; although the ratio is typically 1:4.

Martin Hill added, “To meet the needs of participating athletes, every program for every individual is tailored but will always include a Swim Smooth swim video analysis and a Wattbike assessment (bike / triathlon camps). We have also partnered with a local physiotherapist who works extensively with cyclist and runners, to provide a massage for our clients. If someone has a particular area of interest, we adapt accordingly and focus on each individual’s goals, and the techniques and tools required in all aspects of swim/bike/run.”

Starting in November this year, Triathlon Training Spain will run new camps with the Bonalba Hotel. These include specialist Swim Smooth Clinics and Swim-Triathlon Camps. Triathlon Training Spain will also continue to run camps at its Casa de Triatlo facility.

A number of camps are already full, although there is currently availability on:
