The ride distance is only 43miles but with 4412 feet of tough climbing with four of the most infamous climbs in the Peak District that have regularly been used for hill climb events through the years.
For the serious rider tackling the route can be done none stop to get a competitive time. The leisure rider can use the route as a great training ride whilst taking in some of the best scenery in the area.
You may even be able to get this route done in a morning, afternoon or even after work.
Along the way there are numerous Café’s for refuelling including some of our Polaris Pit stop partners which carry small quantities of spare parts from inner tubes, gear cables and chain links to cable ties and chain lube.
The Pit Stop Cafés are:
The Penny Pot in Edale – next to the pay and display car park and the train station.
The Tea Rooms at Eyam – Located in the village square on the old road that used to cut through to Grindleford but is now closed to motor vehicles.
The Longshaw Cafe – The Longshaw Estate, accessible from the A6187 or Owler Bar Rd near the Fox House Pub.
